Hey all, Quick backstory: every time I traveled or just wanted to find somewhere decent to go out, I kept hitting the same problem — the apps that exist either dump every single result Google knows about (half of which are mediocre or dead), or they're locked behind editorial content that never updates. I wanted something in between: a map that's actually curated, but that grows and stays current the more people use it. So I built VenArk . What it does: Every venue is rated, reviewed, and quality-gated before it's shown — no directory dump The map genuinely expands as people use it — new venues get discovered and added automatically as users open the app in new areas, rather than relying on a static one-time import Premium tier : the highest bar of curation — 13+ categories (fine dining, cigar lounges, rooftop bars, private members' clubs, etc.) verified by cross-referencing multiple independent sources — map/places data, review signals, the Michelin Guide, original web crawling, and public social signals — rather than trusting any single source Michelin-recognized venues (Stars, Bib Gourmand, Green Star) linked right on the map A "hidden gems" layer — real locals-only spots, community-verified, not algorithmically guessed Where it's at: in beta, mainly Europe for now, live across 26 countries (mostly major cities so far, expanding regularly).
