Getty Images Channel 4 has said it plans to cut 340 jobs before the end of the year, reducing its workforce by more than a quarter. The network, which broadcasts Gogglebox and The Great British Bake Off, will lose around 28% of its current 1,270 staff following a strategic review of the organisation. Priya Dogra, Channel 4's chief executive, said the announcement "marks the first phase of our transformation, ensuring Channel 4 is the right shape and size to deliver its future strategy and focus investment in the programmes audiences love".
