I'm still early with my app, and I recently added a lifetime option alongside the subscription. Subscriptions obviously make more sense long-term, but I kept seeing the same hesitation: some people just don't want another recurring charge. So I priced lifetime at roughly a few years of the subscription and decided to test both. I might be leaving money on the table long-term, but I'd rather remove a reason not to pay at all.
