I keep my notes as plain markdown in Obsidian, synced via git, but on my work laptop, installing anything means an IT ticket and a week of waiting, so I couldn't actually open my vault there. So I built Gite.md : it opens the same repo straight in the browser, with the feel of a real note-taking app… folders, tags, markdown editing, no install, no backend (talks straight to the git provider, IndexedDB is just a local cache). It's early and still rough in places, but I'd love feedback from anyone else who keeps notes in plain files… Does "edit my repo anywhere, install nothing" solve a real problem for you, or is a sync plugin already enough? submitted by /u/_estoico_ [link] [comments]
