Original Summary

Been working on this open source project called Ix for a while and figured I’d finally share it here. The basic idea is giving AI coding agents better persistent context about a codebase instead of making them rediscover everything every time. It scans a repo, builds out a system map/graph of how things connect, and gives agents a better way to understand larger projects. We’ve been using it ourselves while building other stuff and it’s been pretty interesting seeing where normal retrieval starts to fall apart once repos get big. Recently we got system map generation about 45x faster and fixed some pretty nasty issues with scanning projects with 2,000+ files. It’s still being actively worked on and there’s a lot I want to improve, especially around measuring how much context/tokens it actually saves. Would genuinely love feedback from people building with coding agents or working on larger repos.
