Original Summary
Hi everyone, a few days ago I posted here that I will make free videos about tools made by indie developers, and I got more than 20 tools in the comments, thanks again to everyone who shared. The first 3 videos are out already, you will find the link to the channel in the comments. I went through every tool from the first post, and honestly a lot of them did not fit the format. Not because they are bad, but because the videos are short how-to explainers (2-3 minutes) and viewers should be able to follow along right in their browser. So this time I want to be more clear with the requirements: Free to try without a card. A real free plan, not a trial that expires. Web application only. No browser extensions, mobile apps, desktop downloads, CLI tools or GitHub repos. Not just a ChatGPT wrapper. If I can get the same result with one prompt in ChatGPT, it's not a fit. Prompt engineering behind a good interface is okay if it actually makes the task easier. Made by you. Solo developer or a small team, not a big company. Shows a useful result in a minute or two, without connecting a bunch of accounts first. If your tool fits, drop the URL in comments with one sentence about what problem it solves. If I pick it, I will message you in DM before the video goes live. Keep in mind the videos are "How to do ___ for free" explainers, not reviews or ratings. In every video I also mention one honest limitation of the tool, so viewers can trust it and it doesn't look like an ad. submitted by /u/Tiny-Sir9099 [link] [comments]
