Slean started quite a while ago as a simple tool I made to clean up my own photo library and free up space. I’ve reworked and expanded it quite a bit since then, but the core idea has stayed the same: keep the interface simple, make it feel native to iOS, and avoid sending people’s photos to a server just to analyze their gallery. I also deliberately stayed away from the usual “swipe left/right through your entire camera roll” experience. I wanted Slean to actually organize and surface things worth cleaning instead of turning cleanup into another endless feed. It now includes duplicate and similar photo cleanup, compression and On This Day, along with a few lightweight editing tools like Pixel Stretch, collage, crop and social-media resizing. Privacy is still the main principle behind it. Your photos stay on your device, there’s no account requirement, and there are no ads at all. I’ve tried hard not to turn it into one of those noisy cleaner apps. Slean was originally iOS-only, but after people started using and liking it, I ended up releasing an Android version as well.
