I make videos for Agentic Builders on YouTube. My iPhone kept losing its camera connection while I was recording. AirDrop wasn't solving the workflow for me either. I wanted to plug in a cable and get on with recording. I couldn't find a wired option that fit my workflow, so I built TetherCam. It sends the iPhone camera straight into OBS on a Mac over USB, without relying on Continuity Camera. No Wi-Fi, no cloud, no account. It's free and open source. The setup is three steps: install the Mac plugin, open the iPhone app, then connect the cable and add the TetherCam source in OBS. The iPhone app is now on the App Store. A few limits worth knowing before trying it: Mac only, iOS 17+, macOS 12+, OBS 30+, and a USB data cable. The phone needs to stay unlocked with the app open. The
