Original Summary
I've been playing with a weird idea after seeing projects like BrandMyMac, Outbid and Marc Lou's recent sponsorship experiments. I run almost every morning around a big public park in my city. The idea: I build a simple website where I document my runs, and people/brands can buy a small sponsorship spot on my running T-shirt. For example: Small logo → $5–$10 Medium logo → $25–$50 Big chest/back spot → $100+ Sponsor gets their logo physically worn during my runs Their brand also stays on the website as a sponsor I post the runs publicly and tag the sponsors There wouldn't be any promise of "10,000 impressions" or guaranteed sales. It's more like buying a small piece of a real person's ongoing project. The interesting part would be making the sponsorships scarce and potentially letting people outbid each other. I'm not asking whether you think it's a good startup idea. I'm trying to validate one thing: If you were a builder/indie hacker with a small brand or product, would you actually pay $5–$50 to have your logo on my running shirt and become part of the experiment? If yes, what would make you actually pull out your wallet? And if no, what feels missing? I'm genuinely looking for brutal feedback before I build it. submitted by /u/IllustriousAd2262 [link] [comments]
