We ran a fan query analysis, going through 11,000+ prompts to see what ChatGPT actually searches for behind the scenes when you ask it something. What we found was not what we expected. You ask something totally generic like "what's the most popular luxury car brand" and by the time it hits the web, the query has turned into your question plus BMW, Mercedes, Audi, current year, market share numbers. You never said any of those brands. It just... added them. We're calling this topical authority injection, basically the model already has a shortlist in its head before it searches anything.
