I’ve been working on an open-source iOS Developer Toolkit for macOS and figured some people here might find it useful. It’s basically a GUI/workbench built around pymobiledevice3 and Apple’s device services so you don’t have to constantly work out of Terminal. Some of what it can currently do: • Inspect connected iPhones/iPads • Mount Developer Disk Images (DDIs) • Check Developer Mode, trust, tunnel and developer-service readiness • Inspect and sideload eligible IPA files • Browse installed apps • Stream Unified Logs, syslog and DVT OSLog • Capture PCAP network traffic • Simulate GPS locations and GPX routes • Run guided pymobiledevice3 commands • Create encrypted MobileBackup2 backups • Collect screenshots, crash reports and other device evidence • Build timestamped evidence cases with SHA-256 hashes • Browse built-in command/man-page documentation The current version has 12 different workspaces and 49 guided pymobiledevice3 command presets. One of the main reasons I made it was because I kept finding myself using the same commands, DDIs, logs, packet captures, backups and device diagnostics from Terminal over and over. I wanted one interface where I could plug in an iPhone and actually explore all of this stuff. For people here, the Sideload IPA section might be especially interesting because it can inspect the IPA archive, provisioning information and signing information before attempting the installation. It’s not a jailbreak tool and it doesn’t bypass iOS security, code signing, passcodes or the sandbox. It’s more of a developer/research/diagnostic workbench. It’s still actively being developed, so feedback is definitely welcome.
