Original Summary
a founder messaged last week about their saas. it had been live for a while but was completely quiet. no one had paid yet. they said they had posted a couple of times on their own and nothing came of it. we told them we would try organic for a week and see if anything moved. just posts in the places people already talk about the problem. no ads, nothing fancy. the first few days were quiet. then on day four someone commented on one of the posts and signed up the same afternoon. the next day two more people showed up. by sunday there were five people who had actually paid. the mrr went from zero to about $164.50. what felt strange was how ordinary it looked from the outside. the people who paid did not seem like they were hunted down. they just saw the post somewhere, recognized the problem, and tried the product. one of them even left a short reply later saying the post was the only reason they looked at it. i am still not sure how repeatable this is. most of the time these things move slower. but this week made me notice that sometimes the first few customers just show up when the posts land in the right places. we are going to keep posting the same way and see if anything else happens. submitted by /u/NailComprehensive314 [link] [comments]
