Original Summary

Hey everyone, Whenever I use ChatGPT, Claude or DeepSeek for long coding or research sessions, conversations easily reach 40 to 80 turns. Two things drove me crazy: The "infinite scroll": Finding a prompt or code snippet from an hour ago requires violently flicking the mouse wheel for 30 seconds. Exporting to Obsidian / Notion: Manually copy-pasting code blocks with broken Markdown formatting. I built ChatOutline to fix this: - 📑 Floating Table of Contents: Automatically detects conversation turns and gives you a collapsible outline sidebar. Click any turn to teleport directly to it. - 📥 1-Click Markdown Export: Cleanly exports the entire conversation into formatted Markdown. - 💻 Centralized Code Hub: Auto-extracts all code blocks (Python, TS, Go, SQL) into one place with 1-click batch copy. - 🔒 100% Local & Privacy-First: Pure client-side Manifest V3. Zero telemetry, zero external servers. The core extension is open source under MIT: 👉 GitHub Repo: https://github.com/SamLu574/chatoutline-pro 👉 Pre-built ZIP Release: https://github.com/SamLu574/chatoutline-pro/releases/tag/v1.1.0 Would love to hear your honest feedback or feature requests! submitted by /u/Glad_Birthday_4154 [link] [comments]
