Original Summary
Hi everyone! 👋 I’m an independent developer from Germany, and I’d like to share a project I’ve been working on: MyOfficePilot. The idea came from a simple problem: We have emails in our inboxes, documents scattered across folders, appointments in calendars, tasks in different apps, and notes everywhere. But most of these things actually belong together. So I decided to build something different. Instead of organizing everything by app or file type, MyOfficePilot puts the focus on digital folders (I call them “Files”). For example, imagine you’re planning a vacation. You create one digital file containing: ● 📧 Booking confirmations and emails ● 📄 Travel documents and PDFs ● 📅 Important dates and appointments ● ✅ Tasks and checklists ● 📝 Notes, photos and useful links Everything related to that topic stays together. What I’ve built so far: 📁 Digital files that connect different types of information ✏️ Notes, including handwriting support 📅 Calendar, tasks and planning features 📧 Email and document organization 📱 Designed for iPhone, iPad and Mac 🎁 Bonus: MyScanPilot, my document-scanning app, is permanently free for MyOfficePilot users. And on top of that you can share the folders in your family. I’m developing this project independently, and there’s still plenty I’d like to improve. I’d really appreciate your feedback: Would you use a topic-based organization system instead of separate apps for everything? Which feature would be most important to you? What would stop you from switching from your current workflow? You can check it out here: 🌐 https://myofficepilot.de Thanks for taking a look! I’d love to hear what you think, especially from fellow indie developers. 🚀 submitted by /u/Electrical-Focus-987 [link] [comments]
