Presenting code well has always been one of my favorite parts of teaching and development. I like the idea of creating slides in the same environment where I write code, instead of switching to a traditional presentation tool. That led me to build two open-source projects inspired by the original OpenSlides idea: 1. DevSlides Online A browser-based version of the idea. You write your slides in a code editor, see a live preview, and present directly from the browser. The goal was to keep the deployment as simple as possible: Bun SQLite Multi-user accounts 100% self-hosted Docker support CasaOS support No cloud dependency GitHub: https://github.com/alyohara/DevSlidesOnline 2. OpenSlides — my fork with image layers I also forked the original OpenSlides project because I wanted something it didn't have: images as actual slide layers. The fork adds: Image backgrounds behind code Freely positionable/resizable image layers Image-only slides Magic Move-style transitions A desktop app built with Rust + Tauri Windows, macOS and Linux support GitHub: https://github.com/alyohara/OpenSlides Both projects are completely open source.
