A client project needed photos turned into a grid of squares and exported as SVG. A free tool did exactly that, on someone else's domain. It worked, and then I thought about the next deadline: domains expire, hosting gets switched off, sites get blocked in some countries or turn paid. So I started building my own small versions of things I use in my work: - dott: upload an image, get it back as squares, save the SVG - md: a markdown workspace that exports to MD, PDF or HTML, without the extra features - ascii: turns a photo into an image made of characters (still an experiment) - Brand Checker: about ten questions about your company, then a report on what your brand needs first, second, and what can wait.
