Original Summary
I kept doing the same thing with ChatGPT: send a lazy one-liner, get a generic answer, then spend three more messages explaining what I meant. So I built Perry, a small button that sits next to the chat box. You type your rough prompt, click him, and he rewrites it in place. Two real examples (unedited output) 1. My rough prompt: "reply to my landlord, he wants to raise the rent by 20%" What Perry made of it: "Write a reply to my landlord regarding their notice to raise my rent by 20%. I want to [negotiate a lower increase / ask for more time / object to the amount]. Professional and firm tone, around 100 words, ready to send." 2. My rough prompt: "help me with my cv" What Perry made of it: "Help me improve my CV for a [target job role]. Ask me up to three questions about my experience first, then suggest concrete improvements for my summary and bullet points. Do not rewrite the whole CV at once. [paste your CV here]" The thing I care most about: when a detail only you know is missing, he leaves a [blank] for you instead of making something up. If your idea is still vague, he asks two quick questions first. It works in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Le Chat and Grok. Free to try (5 improvements a week, no account). Built solo in Germany; prompts aren't stored unless you turn history on. https://perrytheprompter.com/?utm_source=reddit I'd really like to hear where it gets things wrong, or what would make you actually use something like this. submitted by /u/Old_Ad_6441 [link] [comments]
