Original Summary
Hey everyone! I've been working on a small open-source project called Spacue . The idea is pretty simple: type a command, press Space, and get a dropdown with relevant suggestions right inside your terminal. For example, it can suggest scripts from your package.json , Git branches, directories, SSH hosts, and more. You can navigate with arrow keys and press Enter or Tab to insert a suggestion without executing the command. I wanted to keep it as lightweight as possible, so Spacue is just a single ~53 KB Zsh file. No background daemon, no separate executable, and no extra runtime to install. It also has local usage-based ranking, so suggestions you frequently select gradually move to the top. Everything stays on your machine. I'm not trying to reinvent the shell or build another huge terminal tool. I just wanted to make a small part of my everyday workflow a little smoother. It's still a relatively new project, and I'd love to hear what other developers think. GitHub: https://github.com/merdanturan/spacue submitted by /u/aslanmerdan [link] [comments]
