Original Summary
Hey everyone, I'm posting this here both to vent and to ask if anyone has experienced something similar or knows if there's any way to get my money back. I recently got scammed out of $500 on Fiverr, and I’m feeling really frustrated. Here’s what happened: The Setup: I hired a seller with good ratings for a $500 project. Communication was fine at first, and they assured me they had the expertise to complete the work professionally. The Incident: Right before the deadline, the seller submitted a blank file/auto-generated garbage work just to mark the order as "Delivered" and stop the countdown timer. When I requested a revision, they stalled for time, making promises in the chat until the order automatically marked itself as completed. The Outcome: Once the order auto-completed, the seller completely stopped responding. I paid $500 for absolutely nothing, is there any way to come out of this problem .................................... submitted by /u/Apprehensive_Yak8292 [link] [comments]
