Original Summary

Hi all, I'm Stephen. I tutor students 1:1, taught a college course at Penn State, and spent a year working at a tutoring business before starting my own. I did a ton of side projects in college too like tools for writing resumes and cover letters & AI video creation. I'm thinking through an app that truly brings a personal teaching experience into software. Goal is avoid slop and create something that I can comfortably trust as my own kids' personal teacher (don't have kids yet but when and if I do that is the hope, that it is really THAT good). Before I build it, I'd love to hear from parents of middle/high schoolers who are looking for a tutor or trying to find a better fit right now. Would love to have a conversation and just understand the core pain points. Costs, getting your kid to engage, figuring out whether they're actually learning, etc. I'd love to talk through what you've tried and what you wish worked differently. If that's you, here's my calendar if you'd like to chat: https://calendar.notion.com/meet/stephenleshko/s5j63xdd Once I've had a few conversations, I'm planning to share weekly updates here on what I'm learning and what I'm building from it. Thank you and super excited to share more! submitted by /u/ObadegaJ [link] [comments]
