Original Summary
Every time I let an AI write code for me, I’d end up scrolling through a wall of text trying to work out what it actually did. So I built a town instead. It has 80 little residents who live their own lives. They wake up, walk to the bakery, grab coffee, chat on benches and head home when the streetlights come on. Click anyone and they’ll tell you why they’re doing what they’re doing. Then there’s one special street. When my AI assistant starts working on a project, a building on that street lights up. Inside, little robots run around doing the work: one is reading files, another is testing things. If something breaks, you see it happen in the building. And when the AI finishes? The building goes dark and the town just keeps going, like nothing happened. You can rewind any session and watch exactly what happened, step by step, like a replay in a sports game. It runs on your own computer, it’s free and open source, and there’s even quiet background sound: birds in the morning, crickets at night. It’s still early and a bit rough. I’d love to know: Would you actually use something like this? What would you want the town to do next? submitted by /u/arg7k [link] [comments]
