Original Summary
We noticed Claude Code was reloading about 12.5k tokens of memory on every turn, mostly old status notes and stuff from tasks that were already done. So we built a tool that splits your CLAUDE.md / MEMORY.md into what's always needed and what only loads when it's relevant. On our test setup it went from 12,511 to 7,101 tokens per turn, with the same answers. Nothing gets summarized or rewritten; every line just moves. You see a diff first, it keeps backups, and undo is one step. No AI inside it, no network calls. One thing that surprised us: splitting alone made a full session about 2% more expensive, because Claude kept opening the moved files anyway. Adding a small hook that hands it only the section a prompt needs made a 27-task session about a third cheaper. That's early, from one run. Free: npx -y minnimemory install ( npm ). Claude Code only for now. Would love to hear what would make you trust a tool that touches your agent's memory. submitted by /u/MinniLabs [link] [comments]
