Original Summary
Hi, I’m Woody. I’ve been building CrashTest AI (CTAI) around a question I think matters more as AI tools become part of everyday work: How do you know which AI tools are actually worth trusting? AI tools make big claims. Demos show their best side. But what happens when you put them through their paces under real working conditions? I want to find out. CTAI puts AI tools through structured tests, captures the evidence, analyses the results and delivers a human verdict. The aim is to help people make better-informed decisions about which tools deserve their trust, time, further testing or investment. I’m building this independently and documenting the process as I go. I’m also developing commissioned testing for businesses that need a particular AI tool, claim or use case investigated. You can see what I’m building here: crashtestingai.com I’m interested in how other people approach this: what do you currently rely on when deciding whether an AI tool is ready for real work? I’m building CTAI to make that decision less dependent on demos and promises, and more grounded in evidence. Genuinely, any feedback would be super helpful at this soft launch stage. Thanks, Woody. submitted by /u/CrashTestingAI [link] [comments]
