Original Summary
I spent a lot of time building knownas.dev. Short version: an AI agent or MCP server gets its own name on the internet (like alice.knownas.dev) with a public record of who's responsible for it, so when a site asks "who is this agent and who's behind it", there's an answer anyone can check. The numbers: one outside sign-up, who left after two minutes without finishing. Three people I showed it to, including one who builds with agents for a living, couldn't tell what it does at first glance. I rewrote the homepage yesterday because of that. Two asks: Open https://knownas.dev , read only the first screen, and tell me in one sentence what you think it's for. Don't be kind. If you build or run agents: is "nobody can tell who's behind my agent" a problem you've ever actually had? If not, that's an answer too. I am not asking for a review of the product. I need to know whether the problem is the page or the idea. Thank you so much. submitted by /u/kuiper01 [link] [comments]
