Anyone else written the exact same note twice, months apart, because you’d forgotten the first one existed? Designer here, twenty years of it, and I’ve done this more times than I’d like to admit. I hadn’t forgotten the thought. I’d forgotten I’d written it down, and you can’t search for something you don’t know is there. Every notes app I’ve used is brilliant at capture and then just… keeps things. The pile grows and nothing comes back out unless you go digging, and you only dig when you already know what you’re after. So I’m building one that does the other half. You write, and while you’re still typing, an older note that’s actually related turns up above what you’re writing, with a line saying how the two connect. That’s what the clip is – a note from a few weeks back comes up mid-sentence, and the line under it says what’s changed between then and now.
