Original Summary
I built an app to give my AI a memory of my entire workday. I know there’s tons of ai meeting recorders but they weren’t what I was looking for. Lumi is not just for meetings. It can watch you work and help you answer questions about that as well. It records and transcribes what's on my screen and what I hear on my Mac. Not just audio. It also can just stay on for long periods. Then lets Claude, ChatGPT, or other AI clients search it via mcp. I ask things like "what did I commit to on that call?" or "what did I work on yesterday?", “what was that chart shown on that meeting about?” and it provides very good answers. It’s been especially useful for my adhd where I struggle to maintain focus for long periods of time in a meeting. I can tell it to catch me up on the past 10 min for example. A friend and I use it every day. So even if nobody else picks it up, building it wasnt a complete waste. I have a high demand job and I’ve seen my productivity and quality improve. I no longer lose out or forget action items I promised to deliver on. But I'd like to know if it's useful beyond the two of us. I'd love your two cents: Would you use a tool like this? Is the pricing reasonable for what it does? Should I switch to a one time fee at a higher price point instead of subscription? Is it clear what it does within a few seconds of landing on the site? And how it differentiates from others? Thanks 🙏 https://lumimac.app submitted by /u/purealgo [link] [comments]
