Original Summary
I'm launching a paid web app for US high school students (career and college planning) in November. Parents pay, students use it. I'm a solo founder, so I'm trying to get this right without a big-firm legal bill. For those who've shipped something used by under-18s: - Did you hire a lawyer, use a flat-fee service, or start with a template privacy policy and terms? - Roughly what did it cost? - Did you block under-13s to stay out of COPPA, or support them with parental consent? - Which state laws, if any, actually changed how you built the product? - Anything you wish you'd done before launch instead of after? Not looking to promote anything. I'd just love to learn from people who've been through it. submitted by /u/Imaginary-Tie-9322 [link] [comments]
