Original Summary
Hey everyone, I'm Yoav, an indie iOS dev in Chile. My TV and movie tracker, Skipper, came out on the App Store this week. First of all, I wanted to make a really nice tracker, the kind I'd want to open every day. It feels like it belongs on iOS, stays smooth even with thousands of titles (that was harder than I thought), and has a proper iPad layout, a real Apple TV app that plays the episode in the service's app with one click, and it already looks great on the iPhone Duo. On top of that, it helps with three things I kept asking myself: what should I watch next, who am I watching it with (my wife and I watch about half our shows together), and how can I stop paying for so many services. That last one is my favorite. Skipper knows what you're watching and where, so it tells you when a service has nothing left for you this month and you can pause it until your show comes back. And if something isn't available in your country, it shows you where it is, in case you use a VPN. It's free with a small banner ad, and Pro removes it and adds the money saving plan and alerts (the yearly plan has a 2-week free trial). It's just me building it, so any feedback helps a lot, especially on what's confusing.
