Original Summary

I’m building an open source app that sends terminal notifications to your phone. While testing it on a custom-ROM phone with separately installed Google Play services, Play Integrity verification failed. Firebase App Check then denied backend access, so I couldn’t send notifications through the app. How many of you use a custom ROM, especially if you build projects from the terminal or use AI coding tools? Is it a good idea to lower security checks so custom ROM users can run the app? submitted by /u/odunkomur [link] [comments]
