Original Summary
I kept forgetting what I actually did at work, so I built an agent that remembers it for me I kept running into the same problem whenever I updated my CV: I couldn’t remember half the things I’d actually worked on. Bugs I investigated, tests I designed, internal tools I built, problems that took days to solve — a few months later, most of the details were gone. So I built Career Agent . It runs locally on your computer and turns your everyday work activity into a career memory: projects, skills and achievements. Instead of just telling you: VS Code — 3h 21m it tries to understand: Worked on temperature validation using Python, pytest and Jira. The important part for me is evidence. If it generates an achievement, you should be able to trace it back to the files, commits or activity that supports it. It’s local-first and open source. No screenshots, no keystrokes, no microphone or camera. I’m still working on it and would love feedback from developers: Would you actually run something like this on your work computer? What would stop you? If anyone wants to try it or look at the source, let me know. submitted by /u/KutluhanKurtt [link] [comments]
