Original Summary
Hi, I’m Joe, the solo founder of TripForger. The problem I kept hitting: planning a trip with friends meant ten tabs. Google Flights, Airbnb, TikTok, Reddit, and a spreadsheet nobody kept up to date. TripForger asks five questions: where, when, who, budget and style. You get flights, a place to stay, a day-by-day itinerary, and one total against your budget, with what’s left over. Change anything and the total updates. A few things that might interest this sub: The AI only picks from real flight, hotel and place data. It can’t make up a restaurant, a price or opening hours. You can edit in plain English (“make day 2 more relaxed,” “find a cheaper place to stay”), and the budget recalculates. For trips under about 500 miles, it compares flying with train, bus and driving, door to door. Share a link, friends vote on the options, and everyone sees the cost per person. What it doesn’t do yet: there’s no booking on the site (it links out to airlines and hotels), prices are snapshots and can change, and entry rules only cover U.S. passports. Here’s a real plan I made: https://tripforger.app/trip/t1NFVMeZDdhS?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=sideproject-costed It’s free, with no account needed: https://tripforger.app/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=sideproject-costed Please let me know what you think! I'd be more than happy to answer any questions. submitted by /u/AmmarSala [link] [comments]
