Original Summary
I’ve been building nano , a design canvas built for AI coding agents. The problem: agents like Claude Code, Cursor and Codex now write a lot of UI, but they go straight to code. There’s no real place to design with them first. Most design tools weren’t built for agents: the agent has to translate into a proprietary format, or the integration only works while a desktop app is running on your laptop. What nano does: Designs are real HTML and CSS , so it's web friendly and fully customizable Agents connect through a hosted MCP server : no desktop app, nothing to install. It works with Claude Code, Claude, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, or anything that speaks MCP. You and your agent can edit the same file Every change the agent makes is highlighted, and version history lets you roll back. The usual design-tool basics: components with variants, design tokens (with light/dark modes), comments, multiplayer, and exports to PNG, SVG and PDF. Handoff is a link: copy a link to any frame, paste it into your coding agent, and it gets the code, tokens and notes it needs to build it. Try it in about 2 minutes, no account needed: go to nano.design , copy the prompt, and paste it into your agent. It creates its own guest workspace, designs something, and sends you a link to look at it and a link to keep it. submitted by /u/Ngineer1 [link] [comments]
