Original Summary
I kept bouncing off astrology apps. Half of them gave me the same sun-sign line as everyone else. The other half dumped a full chart on me and stopped there. Cool wheel. Now what? So I built the middle thing. You talk for a minute about your day. The app reads that next to your birth chart and the current moon. You get back one short reflection and one small next step. That's it. Some stuff I learned building it: The AI wants to be vague. Left alone, it drifts into horoscope filler that could fit anyone. Most of my prompt work goes into making it point back at what you actually said. The moon is harder than it looks. Drawing a thin crescent lit on the correct side, in light and dark mode, at small sizes, has eaten more evenings than I'd like to admit. Web first paid off. It's one web app. The Android version on Play is a TWA, basically the site wrapped as an app, so I ship once. Memory changes the feel. The newest piece is "key moments." The guide keeps a few standout moments from your journal so it can bring them back up later. It's free to start on Android: Lunar Guide on Google Play Two questions for anyone who's built something with AI in it: 1. How do you keep replies from going generic? 2. Does "voice journal + birth chart" make sense to you, or does it need a better one-liner? submitted by /u/TrainerNo9868 [link] [comments]
