Original Summary

Hi, I'm a solo developer. I make apps as Byte-Creo, a one-person studio. Aldang is an Android app that keeps a history of your notifications on your phone. I built it because I get 200 to 300 notifications a day. I didn't want to turn them off, I just didn't want to lose the ones that mattered. If you swipe one away, it's still in Aldang and you can search for it later. Last weekend someone in r/AndroidQuestions asked for an app with a home screen widget that just lists your notifications. I asked if they meant an actual home screen widget, and admitted a widget had never crossed my mind. They said yes. They'd ended up paying a small price for another widget app and it worked pretty well, but each notification took up way too much space. And if I added a widget, they'd give it a try. So I added one. Two days after their reply, version 0.3.24 went live on Google Play with a home screen widget, and I went back to the thread to let them know. No reply yet, so I'm asking here too. What the widget does: Today's notifications, one compact line each: app icon, app name, the text, and the time The top shows how many came in today, plus a Briefing button Tapping a line opens that notification inside Aldang, not the original app Snoozed notifications are left out It works on the free version The rest of the app, briefly: Free: an inbox of your notifications by time or by app, with a calendar, text search across past days, stats on which apps ping you the most, export to a JSON file. No account, no ads. Pro (optional): tap Generate briefing and AI turns the day's notifications into a short report. One monthly plan, US$3.69 a month in the US (about $4 with tax where sales tax is added at checkout). Other countries see the local price on Google Play. Privacy: your notification history stays on your phone. Notification content leaves the phone only when you tap Generate briefing. Then a trimmed excerpt goes through my server to an AI that doesn't keep it, and my server doesn't store it either. Limits: it only saves notifications that arrive after you install it and turn on notification access. Android only. Honest numbers: as of last week, 10 installs in total, 4 still active, and no paying subscribers yet. So feedback from anyone who actually tries it means a lot. Two questions: If you put a notification widget on your home screen, what would you want it to show? More lines on screen, only certain apps, something else? The person who asked wanted to tap a notification and go straight to the app. Right now a tap opens it inside Aldang. Would you rather it jumped to the original app?
