Original Summary

I work at ERA Advanced, a small company in Belgium. Our actual product is a fully electric race car, the ARC4, a single-seater we also run ourselves at Zolder. Hardware, software, batteries, subframes, the slow expensive kind of startup. The software started as a side effect. Our engineers needed telemetry and analysis that did specific things, and a way to parse about 1000 different sensordatapoints. nothing off the shelf did all of them, so we built our own. It lived internally for a long time and nobody thought of it as a product. It is now Apex Insights: telemetry capture plus an AI coach that reads a session back corner by corner, where the time went and what to change. It takes data from eight sims and also from real loggers, CSV and XRK out of AiM units. So a sim racer and a GT3 driver feed the same platform. The moment it stopped being internal: end of August we ran it in the pit box at the 24 Hours of Zolder on two Porsche 911 GT3 Cups, live for the whole race, in a custom built hardware box. Built up to live through a 24h endurance race. Ten drivers logging into their own accounts between stints. It held. That was the point where we decided to open it to people outside the company. The unglamorous part, and the reason I am posting here. The hard problem was never the telemetry or the model. It is that people cannot tell what they are getting. We have a closed test group of around 25 drivers giving structured feedback, and last week someone who made an account said: "so far all I see is pay money to get AI coaching." He was right. Free gives you live telemetry and your last session in one sim. The AI debrief is the paid part. That is a defensible split, but we never said it anywhere he would look. The prices are not in the nav. The buy button forgets which plan you clicked. Two of our own domains quote different numbers. I spent this week auditing our own customer journey like a stranger would, and it was humbling in the way everyone here probably recognises. Seven years of engineering culture teaches you to make the thing work and say nothing about it. So: free tier is live, paid tiers are rolling out during early access, and I am mostly here for the part I am bad at. If you land on the page and cannot tell in ten seconds what free gets you, tell me. That is the feedback I need right now.
