Original Summary
I'm a developer working on medication tracking, and I'm exploring a more connected journal: medication, meals and daily feelings in one timeline. Before building the food-tracking part, I'd like to know whether this would solve a real problem or just create more logging. The idea: Medication history: medication name, dose, time taken, and daily/weekly schedules or treatment cycles. Flexible reminders: set reminder times to match your prescribed schedule and mark when a dose was actually taken. Quick check-ins: note appetite, energy, nausea, digestion and overall feeling without a long form. Meal notes: record what and when you ate, with optional photos and a quick-entry option. One timeline: review meals, doses and feelings together across a day or week, with an exportable summary for appointments. For the food side, would you want a simple diary, links to reliable medication-specific food guidance, or both? I wouldn't treat a pattern in a diary as proof that a food changed a medication's effect or caused a symptom. Actual interaction questions would still need a pharmacist or clinician. I'd especially like to hear: What do you use now, and what is most frustrating about it? Would combining these records make life easier, or feel like extra work? What would make it worth keeping: reminders, faster logging, a weekly overview, or something else? "I'd never use this because..." is useful feedback too. I'm asking about the workflow, so there's no need to share medication names, doses or private medical details. submitted by /u/Electronic-Force-978 [link] [comments]
