Original Summary

I kept running into the same problem: I have a schema.sql (or a Prisma/DBML file) and want to see it, then tweak a column or two without switching between a diagram tool and a text editor. So I built erd.sketch — https://erdsketch.com Paste DDL (Postgres, MySQL, SQLite, SQL Server, Oracle) or import DBML / schema.prisma → interactive diagram Edit tables right on the cards — rename, add columns, indexes — and the SQL script is rewritten to match Schema checks: foreign keys pointing at missing tables, type mismatches across a relationship, duplicate columns and more — most fixable in one click Diff two versions of a schema → migration SQL Generate Prisma / TypeORM / SQLAlchemy / GORM models or plain TS/Java/Go/C#/Rust types Export SVG/PNG, or move a diagram to the cloud and share a (revocable, read-only) link Minimap, sticky notes on the canvas, undo history; works on a phone too No signup needed for the editor itself — your diagrams stay in your browser unless you choose the cloud Large schemas: a lot of ERD tools I tried fall apart once you get past a few dozen tables, so I tested erd.sketch on our production database at work — 147 tables, 257 relationships. Parsing, layout and panning around stayed smooth, and the diagram was still readable. If you’ve got a big, messy schema lying around, I’d love for you to throw it at it and tell me where it breaks — or what would make navigating it easier. submitted by /u/BreadfruitWorth9585 [link] [comments]
