Some months ago, I noticed a problem in the tech world, I noticed that on old hardware, operating systems just don't work, they stopped supporting it, etc. For me, that time was, for my old perfectly fine laptop, I just couldn't upgrade to Windows 11, even though it was perfectly capable of running Windows 11, just didn't support TPM. I already had an interest in developing operating systems, so, I had some free time, in that time, I attempted to develop my own operating system. The first version was weird, it couldn't even list the directory, it just crashed on me, but, I found the bug and patched it. I deliberately tried to use my own modular architecture for it, I didn't want to make a toy, I wanted to make something usable.. After I developed my own Binary format, it used a small piece of data that marks it's an executable (Magic number), it was KB26, it was a reference to MZ, except I used my own name's initials. Because I haven't named my operating system, early testers called it "KB26 OS", that's why I named it like that. I kept adding features, I also noticed bugs, like the Graphical User Interface freezing at times, I was so frustrated one time that I rewrote the entire GUI. It was worth it. I named my architecture "UNI" (YOU-nee), it stands for "Unified", my architecture's components are named similarly, UNIFS (For filesystem), UNIINPUT (For handling drivers associated with input devices like Mouses, Keyboards etc.). I even added a Hardware Abstraction layer (UNIHSA). It's still in Beta, and it's proprietary. Still, I have released a pre-release of Build 92 so that anyone interesting can try it out. For some reason, it crashes on Virtualbox, I recommend using another Virtual machine, I recommend QEMU.
