Hi everyone, I've been building a webapp Clipping Report for a news monitoring and clipping system for newswires, PR agencies and communications teams. I'd love feedback from people who deal with coverage reports every day. What it does When a press release goes out on a newswire, the system tracks where it landed online. It searches newswire archives and multiple search engines, finds every publicly viewable copy (outlets, language versions, syndicated pick-ups), and puts them into one client-ready report. The highlight is: AI visibility More and more people don't google a company release or news anymore. So the report has two "searchers": 2 Kinds of searches: The web side: A real person checking online, it finds and lists every visible outlet that published the release. The AI side: it asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity the questions a journalist, investor or customer would ask, with live web search on. Then it checks whether the company comes up, whether it's named first, whether the facts are right, and whether the AI cites your actual coverage as a source. Both are combined in one report. You see where the news landed and whether AI assistants are picking it up. Some included features - Interactive report page: coverage map, countries, media types, languages, regions - Every clipping with a link and a screenshot - Media value estimates (editorial value, readers, impressions, ad value equivalence) - AI summary of the coverage and recommendations. - One-click PDF, Word and Excel versions - Password-protected report links that expire automatically If you work in PR, comms, at an agency or at a publication: What do you wish your current clipping or coverage reports showed, but they don't?
