Original Summary
Hi everyone, for the past few months I’ve been building CouncilAI, and it’s now live on the Microsoft Store. The problem: I kept pasting the same question into different AI chats and comparing the answers by hand. Models often disagree, and it’s hard to know which one to trust. What it does: you type one prompt and CouncilAI sends it to the models you choose, with three modes: Council: the models answer, then one of them synthesizes a combined answer. Sequential: each model sees and builds on the previous answer. Compare: answers sit side by side so you can see where they differ. How it works: You bring your own API keys (Claude, OpenAI, xAI, OpenRouter). There’s no subscription and no account. Your keys and chats are stored on your PC. The only thing the app contacts me for is an optional startup check for new versions, and you can turn it off in settings. It’s a Python and PySide6 desktop app, built solo. Try it: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9N5L747K559D Site: https://councilai.ca I’d like honest feedback, especially on which mode you’d actually use and what’s confusing. I’ll answer every comment. submitted by /u/Fun_Statement_6108 [link] [comments]
