Original Summary
The first 30 seconds of any lo-fi playlist are great. By day three you know every track, and your brain starts waiting for the loop. Neverloop has no audio files at all. A Rust engine composes everything as you listen: chords, voice leading, melody, drums, rain, noise. It synthesizes them in real time at under 2% of one core. The same engine runs in a Tauri shell on Mac, iPhone and Android, and as WASM at neverloop.app. 1.5 shipped on all three stores this week, and its best feature fell out of the architecture for free: a whole mix is a seed plus a few knob values, so sharing a mix means sharing a short URL. Open it in a browser and you hear the identical piece. Hardest parts so far: making generated music not sound generated. A musician friend listens to every build, and I turn her notes into tests (longest held note, longest two-chord vamp, loudness per instrument). Still have space for improvement. Tauri on iOS under Xcode 27 and on Android: media sessions, foreground services, audio focus keeping every mood at the same loudness, so switching never jumps It has a free tier and a one-time Pro, no subscription.
