Original Summary
I built an API that checks contractor licenses straight from the state boards, and my customers are small software companies that vet contractors (COI tracking, HOA software, that kind of thing). sent ~20 cold emails over 2 days. a third bounced, because a lot of these companies list support@ addresses on their site that don’t actually exist. one founder replied that he liked it but only has a few users. a few turned into support tickets. for anyone who sells APIs to other SaaS: what actually worked for your first 10 customers? cold email, partnerships/integration pages, LinkedIn, something else? submitted by /u/Busy-Ad7220 [link] [comments]
