Original Summary
I’ve been working on building my own app, and I know that making videos about it would probably help me grow and get it in front of more people. The problem is, I get really anxious just thinking about actually posting a video. It’s not even necessarily strangers on the internet that I’m worried about. It’s the people around me who already know me. Friends, family, acquaintances, or just anyone who might come across my videos and judge me for trying something different. I think part of me is scared of being seen trying, if that makes sense. Like, what if people think it’s embarrassing, make fun of me, or wonder why I’m suddenly putting myself out there? Even though I know I’m doing something productive and trying to build something of my own, I still care too much about what people might think. The frustrating part is that I genuinely WANT to make videos and promote what I’ve been working on. I just feel like I’m letting the fear of other people’s opinions hold me back. For anyone who’s experienced something similar, especially if you’ve started a business, created content, or put yourself out there publicly, how did you get past this? Does it eventually stop feeling so uncomfortable, or do you just learn to do it anyway? I’d genuinely appreciate hearing your experiences because I feel like this is something I need to get over. submitted by /u/CandleSevere6151 [link] [comments]
