Original Summary

It’s a Chrome extension that turns your browser into a place to hang out with other people. You can chat, voice chat, highlight text, draw, leave comments and save things directly on any website. The idea came from a simple behaviour: finding something interesting online and wanting to show someone. Usually you send a link and the conversation moves to WhatsApp, Discord or somewhere else. I wanted to see what it’d be like if you could just stay on the page and experience it together. You can also use it on your own to save and annotate things. The social side adds another layer when other people join. I’ve spent a lot of my spare time working on the design and building the experience, and it’s finally at a point where I’m ready to share it. 🌐 https://www.getspot.live I’m opening up the beta and would love some honest feedback. Does the idea make sense to you? What would you use it for? And, honestly, would you install something like this? If anyone wants to try it together, I’m up for that too! Sign up and I’ll get you the link as soon as it’s ready. Thanks 🙏 submitted by /u/Routine-Syllabub-238 [link] [comments]
