Original Summary
I work at an industrial parts distributor, and I kept seeing the same problem every day. A customer sends a part number. Someone checks stock, looks up the cost, digs through old quotes to see what we charged that customer last time, and checks whether the margin makes sense. If a discount is needed, a manager has to approve it. It sounds simple, but multiply that by dozens of quotes a day, and it adds up fast. A lot of the process also depends on people remembering things that aren't documented anywhere. So I built a small tool that brings all of this together on one screen: stock, costs, customer pricing history, margins, and discount approvals. I'm sharing it here to get feedback from people building or working with B2B SaaS. I'd love to hear how other distributors handle this workflow and whether you've run into the same problem.
