Original Summary
Last sunday, I visited the Zoute Grand Prix in Knokke and noticed how frustratingly overly monetized and paywalled most car-scanning apps were. Instead of complaining about it, I decided to build my own :) I wanted to share what I've built so far and hear your feedback! Tech Stack: Language: Kotlin UI: Jetpack Compose For scanning: CameraX AI Integration: Google AI (Gemini) How it works: The app lets users scan cars. I used the Gemini API for the recognising. Note on development: While I used AI to help structure some of the heavier asynchronous/vision processing pipelines and prompt handling, the core architecture, UI state management, and the vast majority of the Kotlin code were typed and structured by myself. :D this is the link to the repo -> https://github.com/ItzjustElias/CarScanner It's nothing fancy and not a fancy post, but I just want your honest review/thoughts on my project. submitted by /u/Itz_just_Elias [link] [comments]
