Original Summary

After seeing a lot of hype around Jev and similar decision models, I wanted to give them a try myself. Since I’ve dabbled with HN data in the past, I thought I could do a fun classification task on HN front-page discussions.<p>The result is a timelapse chart of all HN front-page posts over the last six years with some interesting metadata.<p>Classifying 65,730 front-page stories for sentiment and topics cost me $5.41. One year of front pages (~11,000 stories) took about 95 seconds with 40 parallel requests.
