Original Summary

I'm the founder, so this is my own project. I have a graveyard of habit apps on my phone. Every one of them worked until the day I stopped opening it, which was usually day four. The app never noticed. So I built the opposite: something that lives where I already am and notices when I go quiet. Kept is a WhatsApp chat. You tell it one thing you keep saying you'll do and why it matters. Setup is five questions. For 30 days it holds you to that one thing. What it does differently: - One promise, not a dashboard of twelve habits. - No app to install and nothing to open. It messages you. - You choose how hard it pushes, from warm to a proper roast. - It never forces a schedule. If you say "anytime", it respects that. - Silence is not counted as failure. It holds you to the promise, not to replying. - It backs off completely if you mention injury, illness or distress. Under the hood a rules engine decides what situation you are in (on pace, slipping, gone quiet) and the AI only chooses the words. That keeps it from inventing numbers about your progress. Honest status: it is running with a small group of testers and the public WhatsApp number is not live yet, so the site is a waitlist for now: https://www.keptmyself.com What I would love feedback on: Does "one promise for 30 days" sound focused or too limiting? Would you trust a WhatsApp chat with this, or do you want an app? Is the landing page clear about what it is within five seconds? submitted by /u/Zyz256 [link] [comments]
