Original Summary
Solo founder here. I launched a niche B2C tool in Greece on Oct 1: you paste a used-car ad from a German marketplace and it calculates the Greek import/registration tax and the total landed cost, using the official government price lists. It's a real pain here: people get wildly different numbers from customs agents. Pricing: first report free with signup, then €2.50 per report, report packs (€4.99 / €6.99) and weekly/monthly passes (€9.99 / €19.99) that also include a "find me a car" search. First 13 days: - ~11.7k sessions (mostly organic TikTok, Google brand searches, and a small paid TikTok test) - ~2.2k people pasted an ad link - ~1.2k signups - 60 paying users, 86 transactions - ~€415 revenue total The part that worries me: - Week 1: ~€318. Days 8–13: ~€97. Launch buzz is clearly fading. - Signup → paid is ~5%. - My best customers aren't one-time buyers but people checking many cars (one bought 15 reports in 11 hours). Probably dealers/importers. - Paid TikTok brought 1,300 visits in one night with almost zero engagement and no sales. Questions for people who've been here: Is ~5% signup → paid reasonable for a low-ticket B2C tool, or a sign the free tier gives away too much? Is a week-2 revenue drop like this normal after a launch spike, or a retention problem? With repeat buyers looking like small businesses, would you double down on B2C or start pricing for dealers? At €2.50 a report, is the price simply too low to build anything on? Happy to share more numbers if useful. submitted by /u/xpek20 [link] [comments]
