Original Summary
I've been working on a web app called Loomton. It's basically shop management software for tailors, fabric shops and ready-made clothing stores. I'm building it solo using React, Supabase and Cloudflare. The idea is pretty simple. A tailor needs to keep measurements, orders and delivery dates. A fabric shop needs to track stock and purchases. A clothing store needs inventory, sizes, colours and barcode scanning. So instead of making three different apps, I put them together. Shops can use whichever parts they need, with one customer list. For tailoring, I've added measurements with fractions, garment-specific notes, orders, invoices and payment tracking. Fabric shops can manage stock by the metre, supplier purchases, returns and low-stock warnings. Clothing stores can manage sizes and colours, generate barcode labels and scan them using a phone camera. One challenge has been keeping these different workflows in the same app without making everything too complicated. It's still a beta, so there are things missing. It needs internet, there's no staff login system yet, photos don't sync between devices, and voice measurement entry still needs work. It's free for up to 20 orders or sales per month, with no card required. Here's the site: https://loomton.com/ I'd really appreciate some outside feedback. Does the website explain the product clearly? Is combining these three shop types a good idea, or does it make things confusing? Also curious whether something like this would make sense for small shops in different countries. submitted by /u/Fit-Pear1 [link] [comments]
